Please don’t park across sidewalks!
We have had numerous reports in the community of people parking their cars and BLOCKING sidewalks. Please be aware that this is a ticket-able offense. We have mothers with strollers, kids on bikes and other walkers having to enter the street due to illegally parked cars.
Be aware that our local police will be on the lookout for these infractions, so consider this a friendly warning. Please report repeat offenders to report@wmypsi.org

Lawn Maintenance Requirements
Help keep your neighborhood looking beautiful by mowing your lawn regularly. Grass must be kept mowed below 7″ for all residential, developed, subdivided and landscaped areas of the Township, including business districts.
Beginning on Memorial Day each year, the Township will mow tall grass on private property and invoice the property owner for the cost of the work plus a $50 administrative fee. Once a property is mowed under enforcement, it remains on a watch list until someone else takes responsibility to maintain it.
Residents may report neglected grass by calling Ordinance at (734) 485 – 4393 or by filling out the Noxious Grass – Weeds/Neglected Properties contact form. You can also help by reporting vacant properties that are not being maintained.
April 2nd 2015 – Annual General Meeting
Whispering Meadows General Meeting
We have our annual general meeting on April 2nd 2015, at the Ypsilanti Township center conference room (same place as every year). Starting at 6:30PM. Unfortunately this is a rescheduled meeting since we did not meet quorum in November of 2014. We will be voting in two new board members this year Lyle Benson, and Tony Wisniewski since they have eagerly requested supporting the board (which was down to 1 official member). Ever Miller our current Treasurer will be stepping down.
We still have Board Member Vacancies!
Your community decisions are handled by an elected board of community members just like you! Please think of supporting your community further by deciding if you would like to be part of the board. Requirements include availability to communicate via email (within 24hours), voting on various issues or solutions that require attention. At most 5 hours of participation per month. This is a great way to make a real difference and a huge impact on your life in our sub. Let us know of your interest at the April 2nd annual meeting.

Annual Meeting on November 18th 2014 at 6:30PM
IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR OUR ANNUAL MEETING:
Due to board member changes and availability, in order to have your remaining board members present and available to run the meeting, the date will be changed from NOV 5th to NOVEMBER 18TH at 6:30 PM in the Ypsilanti Township main conference hall.
Announcements will be updated on the facebook, sign boards and notices sent through regular mail.

Street Sweeping Sept 29th – Oct 3rd 2014
From the Township:
The final round of street sweeping will take place Monday, September 29, 2014 – October 3, 2014. Completion will be dependent on the weather.
Please refrain from street parking. The contractor will not be able to sweep in areas where cars are parked. Please move your vehicles into driveways or other legal parking areas so that we can keep our streets as clean as possible!

Ypsilanti Township Health Fair (9/19)
The Ypsilanti Township is having a Health Fair, see the details below:
Our annual Health Fair will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 9:00am – 2:00pm so our members can get their flu shots early in the season. We will have over 40 vendors offering information, screenings and product. Many FREE or very low health screenings will be available. This is a fundraiser for our 50 & Beyond program. Our concessions stand will be open for snacks only, no lunch.
We will hold several vendor raffles. We still have a few openings vendors. If you would like more information on renting a table to display your product or service please contact us at (734) 544 – 3838.

Community Yard Sales – 7/11-12 & 7/18-19 (Friday to Saturday – both weekends)
The Yard Sale event helps our community organize a full sub community sale, so our members can walk around and purchase something from neighbors or friends in the area.
