We have some more winter weather coming our way to Ypsilanti. Forecasted at starting tonight (3/11/2014) and we might get another 6 inches of snow.
No worries Monday night or Tuesday during the day, though. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy overnight with lows in the low to mid-30s. It will start getting cloudy on Tuesday, with highs in the low 40s.
It gets interesting on Tuesday night. Rain showers will develop early in the evening and then gradually turn into some wet snow as colder air works its way in, but I don’t expect much accumulation Tuesday evening. Sometime after midnight, the snow will pick up in intensity and it should be snowing pretty heavily by dawn Wednesday (potentially more thundersnow?).

If you are making changes to your property or need to find a phone number for a service, then this is a great starting point.
A few members have already made great suggestions for content improvements, and we will be working on those actively going forward (like a list of recommended contractors or landscapers for personal use). If you have an idea, don’t be shy please let the board know and we will do our best to make it happen!
So if this is your first time here, please sign up for our newsletter, and you will get periodic updates from us in your mailbox (1-2 maximum a month, we promise!) Your email will be kept private and not shared with any outside parties (we hate SPAM too!)
Governor Snyder has proclaimed October 19, 2013 as the Annual Shake Your Mailbox Day in Michigan. Shake Your Mailbox Day is a joint effort on the part of the Washtenaw County Road Commission and the United States Postal Service. The day is designated to get the public involved in proactive mailbox maintenance. Residents should prepare mailboxes for winter by tightening screws and ensuring the post and receptacle are secure enough to endure large amounts of thrown snow. If the mailbox moves when shaken, this is likely an indication the mailbox and/or post may not withstand standard snow removal operations and should be repaired or replaced prior to the onset of winter.

Once again, it is time for our annual meeting. This is our “State of the Association Address” where we review what has happened throughout the year, get input from homeowners, update everyone on finances and projects. We encourage you to attend this annual meeting for a community update, to give your input and suggest ideas to the Board. Together, we can work as neighbors to make Whispering Meadows Homeowner’s Association the best community in the Ypsilanti Area!
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
